Some potentially fraudulent tax value notices have been mailed to Guernsey County Property Owners, claiming that their property record is incorrect or overvalued. The companies who mailed out the notices claim to be accredited through the Better Business Bureau. If you are in doubt, please contact the Better Business Bureau, or the Guernsey County Auditor's office, to confirm the validity of any such notices. A comparison of the 2011 and 2012 property values can be found on the valuation tab of each parcel number by using the property search feature. Property owners can also report any data discrepancy through this website. A discrepancy link can be found on each parcel page. Please note that there is NO FEE for filing a Board of Revision (complaint against the value of property) with the Auditor's office and that there is NO GUARANTEE that the Board will lower a property value. For more information on the Board of Revision process please use the link on the left side of the screen.
